   STATEMENT OF BELIEFS:                   

 

1 .The Bible, in its entirety, is the inspired Word of God and the infallible rule of faith.

(2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:20-21)

 

2 .There is one God, maker of all things, being in Trinity of Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

(Genesis 1:26; Matthew 3:16-17; Matthew 28:19; John 15:26; 2 Corinthians 13:14)

3. Jesus Christ, the Son of God, was begotten by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, and is true God and true man.    (Isaiah 7:14; Matthew 1:18-25; Luke 1:27-38)

4. That the only means of being cleansed from sin and declared right with God is through repentance, faith in the precious blood of Christ and regeneration by the Holy Spirit.  (Acts 3:19; Titus 3:4-7; Hebrews 10:12, 19-22)

5. The Holy Spirit is the comforting power of God, which distribute the gifts listed in

( 1 Corinthians 12: 4-10; John 14:26; Acts 1:8 )

6. That the baptism with the Holy Spirit, according to Acts 2:4, with the evidence of speaking in other tongues, is an experience subsequent to salvation that equips the believer for effective service and is given to believers who ask for it.  (Matthew 3:11; Mark 16:17; Acts 1:5; Acts 2:1-4, 38-39; Acts 8:14-17; Acts 10:38, 44-47; Acts 11:15-17; Acts 19:1-6)

7. There is divine healing, through faith, included in the Atonement. ( The forgiving or pardoning of sin).  (Isaiah 53:5; 1 Peter 2:24)

8. World evangelism and missionary work with signs following is essential to the Lord's Great Commission to the church.  (Mark 16:15; Mark 16:20)

 

9. Biblical giving is the giving of self and wealth to God and His work voluntarily and out of love for God and His work. (Matthew 6:34; 1Corinthians 16:1-3, 2Corinthians 8: 8-9, Galatians 6:6-8, Philippians 4:10-19, 1Timothy 5:8, 17-18; 3John 1:5-8)

10. Baptism and The Lords Supper are two perpetual ordinances of the Lord. Baptism is the outward sign of what God has already done, and The Lord's Supper is a commemoration of the death of the Lord done in remembrance of  Him.  (Matthew 28:19-20, 1 Corinthians 11:24-26) 

11. That the family unit is foundational to society, we believe that God has defined marriage as the uniting of one man and one woman in covenant commitment in a single, exclusive union, as described in scripture, and that sexual intimacy should be enjoyed only within a biblical marriage.  (Genesis 2:18-25; Matthew 19:3-6; I Thess. 4:3-5).

12. The Lord Jesus Christ will return; the resurrection of the dead, eternal happiness for the saved and eternal punishment for the lost.  (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17; John 3:16-17;

John 5:28-29; Revelation 20:11-15)
